- (4 large Skirt Steaks) 4 Pack Skirt Steak
- (1/2 cup) Brown Sugar
- (1 Tablespoon) Garlic Powder
- (1 Tablespoon) Onion Powder
- (1 Tablespoon) Chili Powder
- (1 Tablespoon) Paprika
- (1 teaspoon) Salt
- (2 teaspoons) Cumin
- (1 teaspoon) Cayenne Pepper
Mom decided to get creative in the kitchen the other night.
She wondered what Skirt Steaks would taste like if we cooked them how she cooks Short Ribs. The answer- DELICIOUS!!!
So with that said- this method is interchangeable between Short Ribs and Skirt Steaks, with only a few differences.
Mix all the dry ingredients together to make a rub,
Rub both sides of the steaks.
Put aluminum foil in a baking dish. The foil should be under and covering the steaks.
May sit overnight in the refrigerator or bake right away.
Bake at 275 Degrees for 3 hours
Optional: You may also bush with BBQ sauce and Broil for the last 5 minutes.
The result- you will only need a fork to pull these apart and eat. They come out so tender and juicy.
** With the short ribs they will need to be drained, the skirts don't need draining. We suggest in the last 5 minutes when you put your BBQ sauce on.
