In a Porterhouse, the tenderloin is 1 1/4 inch or larger in diameter. It is differentiated from the T-Bone steak by its larger Tenderloin muscle.
The perfect steak for the grill or broiled, you can't go wrong with just a little salt and pepper to taste. It gets its name Porterhouse from English pubs that served “Porter” ale and served this cut.
