Things to do at the Farm
- Collect your own eggs for breakfast
- Play badminton and other games – we will set them up
for you, just ask us.
- Help out with chores if you would like, just mention
it.
- Roast marshmallows at the campfire.
- Relax on the front porch while the children swing on
the tire swing.
- Plus much more for the asking.
- Fish at many places close to the farm and play in the
rivers.
Local Events (Madison County)
- Snowmobile Rentals owners Dave and Becky Rasmussen: Plan a trip to Central New York and let us show you the beautiful scenery as you experience the "thrill and adventure"of riding snowmobiles. Navigate your way through the extensive local trail system on your own, or let our experienced guides show you the most beautiful scenery. Our local snowmobile trails are groomed regularly and are much less traveled than those in Tug Hill or the Adirondacks, making your ride more comfortable and your experience more relaxed guided tours or go it alone with maps of the trail which has hundreds of miles of picturesque trails. - Madison-Bouckville Outdoor Antiques Show: Held annually, the third weekend in August in Bouckville, if you can’t make
the show there are many antique shops to shop and explore having lunch in

- Our favorite antique auction is Marquis Action, a mus. Keith the
owner/auctioneer and family operate this auction a nice home town
atmosphere!
- Wolf Oak Acres in Oneida, only a 20 minute drive from
the farm, a must do. Their corn maze, animals, pig race, very eventful. Katrina and
family welcome all of you!
- Talons Birds of Prey, only 1/4 mile from the farm.
A wonderful experience, something you always will remember.
- Head to Hamilton where you can rent bikes www.adventurebikesandboards.com and ride around town, visiting shops
along the way. Don’t forget to stop at Maxwell’s where you can have an ice
cream cone or a chocolate! Have lunch in town at any of the fine places to
eat, Colgate Inn, Sushi Blues, Nichols and Beal, Oliveri’s Pizza, or any of
the fine establishment’s downtown. You can stop by Roger’s Market and get a sack lunch,
bring it back to the farm, and have a picnic at the farm wandering out in
the pastures on many of the cow trails.
- The Farmers market in Hamilton on Saturday morning, an
adventure offering many fine things…. possibly rent a bike on that day and
wonder around town.
- Go Diamond Mining in Herkimer, at Herkimer Diamond
Mining (about an hour from here), that afternoon. www.herkimerdiamond.com
Cooperstown (1 hour drive)
Cazenovia (30 minute drive)
- Stone Quarry Hill Art Park: Located
on 100 acres, Stone Quarry Hill Art Park is dedicated to the preservation of
the land and to the creation and exhibition of sculpture, inspired by the
relationship between art and nature. Beautiful walking trails, changing
outdoor sculptures, summer education program, annual pottery fair, and
special family events. 10am-5pm daily in Cazenovia. Wander around town at

- Lorenzo: 87 acres historic property

- While in Cazenovia be sure to stop at Isabella’s a one
of a kind boutique you will not want to miss. Along the way stop in Nelson
to shop at Nelson Farm, which offers Pride of NY products which are
grown/produced here in New York.
- Make the short drive to to
Chittenango Falls, 5 miles north of Cazenovia.
